Once WireShark is running, unplug the ethernet connection to the camera, then replug it in.The next line discusses how to get around this. If your camera's ethernet port is solid green (as opposed to flashing green) then it is not trying to send information to the host computer and WireShark will not see the camera. The camera's IP address in this example is 192.168.254.11 and our computer's IP address in this example is 192.168.254.35.When analyzing the WireShark data ignore your computer's IP address and write down any IP addresses you don't recognize.Under the "Ethernet Adapter Npcap" section locate the IPv4 address.Type ipconfig into the command prompt and push enter.Click the start menu, Type cmd and Push enter. Before searching for a foriegn IP Address in the WireShark results, first verify your computers IP Address. The program will begin monitoring all communication on the Ethernet Bus selected.Click the Capture Tab above then, Click start.Click the Ethernet line on the Welcome Screen.Option 2: Download WireShark and monitor the network for unknown local IP Address's.
